The third generation CR-V is powered by the latest version of Honda's standard K-series 2.4 L inline-four engine, similar variants were also found in the Honda Accord and Honda Element. In North American markets, this engine's power is rated at 166 hp (168 PS; 124 kW) at 5,800 rpm and 161 lbâ‹…ft (218 Nâ‹…m) at 4,200 rpm. [2]
Overall average about 47mpg over the last 3K miles. but I rarely drive at 70mph on the motorway so this brings the average down. Difference with the pug is the civic will have more guts so will most likely use less fuel when a heavy foot is required.
Honda CRV 2005 2,2 diesel - misguide of DPF -have replaced the pre-converter . I bee missguided by a pal and have replaced the pre-converter to my CRV instead to replace the right DPF ; the problem - light glow in the dash board - occured a while ago when the engine lost power and I have been to dealer and have performed the regeneration but didn´t last much - 1919km only .
When it comes to punch, the 2.2-litre Civic has a larger capacity than its rival, although there are also 10Nm torque and 10bhp power deficits. That doesn’t prove decisive in this test, however
1. remove battery, 2. remove airbox completely/unplug MAF plug on top. 3. now you can see the fuel filter, its on right handside down very low, you will need and pair of pliers for pipe spring clips, and a 12mm spanner an or socket, to remove the 2x 12mm bolts that hold filter in place,,, 4, filter now off,, you may need a vice to hold filter
Honda Civic Economy and Emissions. The official NEDC combined fuel economy for the Honda Civic 1.6 i-DTEC EX Manual is 81mpg, with CO2 emissions of 93g/km. We achieved 87.7mpg at 50mph on the motorway, and 67mpg over a 200-mile motorway journey. Both of these are impressive results.
